Transaltion by Siyana Zhelezarova, 10.b class
On the 13th of October, our school again celebrated the special days dedicated to the Erasmus+ programme. In the Creative Room, during the long break, students from different classes gathered to share impressions of the work on projects in which our school has taken part so far.

Ms Tatiana Shurelova, an active organizer and leader of several projects of this type, announced the current work in which our school partners with other institutions from the country and abroad, focused on “MineCraft” and “EcoPodcasts”.

Eight bright young students from ELS “Geo Milev”, who had successfully participated in the “Mobility” programme of the “CARES” project in Lugoj, Romania, shared impressions from the trip. The brilliant students explained what they had done in a chemistry class and posed for a picture with their certificates.
The product they had made was also presented – an automated arm powered by an Arduino-One microcontroller.

The students demonstrated how it works, using software uploaded on a mobile phone.

They also presented the awesome logo they had created for the arm.

The teenagers shared their fun communication in English with the foreign participants.

They told about the places they had visited in Timisoara, Romania and their most interesting moments, including their visit to a sanitary ceramics factory and a car-airbag factory.

We saw a video of their presentation in Romania, which was entirely in English, as well as a few clips that demonstrated how the young artists of our high school made the automated arm for the project. We were also treated to some of their more fun memories, such as singing on the bus and rolling their own charming cotton candy! They also showed off the bags they painted using the batik technique.

The teachers Tatiana Shurelova, Valentina Atanasova, Katerina Dimitrova and Milena Maistorova, all from the project activity teams, also joined in to complement the stories of their enthusiastic students. The supportive teachers also shared their welcoming, exciting experiences and meetings with participants and colleagues from several countries.

Thoughts on Erasmus+ shared by Daniela Petkova, a 10th grader:
“Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, I experienced a lot of new, interesting things: seeing a real work environment, learning to function as part of a team, getting to know a foreign culture and the native people’s behaviour, and last but not least – practising my English as I met plenty of other positive, young people. This way I made new, exhilarating friendships but, personally, I would like to highlight the overall experience as one of the most important memories which I will never forget!”
