On 26 October the students from the Literature Society and the Art club organized an event, dedicated to the Day of the Bulgarian Enlighteners. Once again, the students of ELS “Geo Milev” honoured the deeds of the great and brave patriots, who gave our nation the knowledge how to rise against the tyrant and protect our future.
At the beginning of the event the hosts, Rozali Pavlova (12.e class) and Denislav Drachev (12.v class) read poems, dedicated to the enlighteners.
The quiz was in three parts. In the first part the participants had to recognize a paragraph from a poem, an article or a novel and guess its author. In the second round they had to arrange the different paragraphs in order. In the last part of the challenge the students had to guess each of the national enlighteners in a number of portraits painted or drawn by the members of the school Art club. Finally, the invited audience and the participants in the quiz had to decide which portrait was the best. The winners have not been announced yet, but everybody had the opportunity to learn something new!
