Students in Ms. Haley’s classes recently completed a project titled “Humans of Burgas,” inspired by the Humans of New York photojournalist social media page of Brandon Stanton. For this assignment, students photographed and interviewed individuals from Burgas to share their stories. This interview was carried out by 11V student Sofia Nedelcheva:

Question: “What is the most important lesson you have learned in your life?”
Response: “Everything passes; the good and the bad. There was a time in my life i realized that as long as a person is alive and well everything can be fixed and that the only thing a person can’t avoid is death. You shouldn’t let wounds fester and destroy you. Instead, you should realize that everything is for the better and we should use every second we have to better ourselves. Losing somebody close to you can teach you a whole lot about overcoming obstacles and realising yourself. No matter how much it hurts, you have to push forward and never give up.”
