On the question “how should people live, work, study?” I can’t answer. Every person has his own viewpoint and own life. Every person chooses for himself how to live his own life. Some people took the good way of the life, some not. One thing that I know is Vasil Levski has decided alone to fight for our country. I am sure no-one has told him, “Please save us, you have to go and fight for our country”. The decision was his, just like all the other national freedom fighters.

In my opinion, the Bulgarians have forgotten how great their country was and still is. They should aim to love their homeland. Many of them migrate to other countries for better education and then when they graduate, they don’t come back. Others migrate with their families maybe for a better life. They all have forgotten what the national freedom fighters did, what a great poet they had, what a beautiful culture they had, what a beautiful nature they had. When those people migrate, they don’t understand what they miss.
The culture of the different ethnic groups in Bulgaria is different. They don’t think it is necessary for their children to go to school. They are not less intelligent or lower level – just their values are different from ours. Some of them are very smart and they want their children to have a degree, others don’t find it necessary. These ethnic groups have very popular singers and the audience likes them.
People should treat others the way they want to be treated.
Vasil Levski has said “deeds need no words”. It really depends on who are you talking to. If your family is talking to you, you will trust their words, but if you are talking to someone strange or not that close, you will want to see their actions first. In my opinion, you should trust the actions, not the words, because you can always say something and then lie about it, but when you have already done it, you can’t take the time back and you can’t change it.
People are capable of changing history, but not time. Every day is a history. Scientists discover new things every day, even our actions are history, because we can’t take the time back and the moment of 18th February, 2021, 18:28 would never come back…
Today Bulgaria needs young, intelligent, and ambitious people, who can change the way some people think. They have to be confident and they have to know what they are doing.
Thoughtful and true!
Let me quote an ex-student of mine – Vasil Dimitrov (now a teacher of English himself) who also liked the article:
“Great job and realistic view for both present and future. I’d have answered question 8 with a brilliant line from T.S.Eliot ‘In a minute there is time for decision and revisions that a minute will reverse.’ Change is the only constant life! Inner change precedes changing the outer world and Levski in that respect was a Gandhian of his time.”
