Today, on the day of the Nativity of Christ, the miracle for two of the students at AEG “Geo Milev” came in the form of winning places in the Christmas poetry competition “Christmas magic”, organized by EacademiaBG, in tribute to the holidays: https://shorturl.at/uNZ05. The young talents were encouraged by Mrs. Valentina Atanasova, English teacher and leader of the Electronic Media Club, to share their poetic sense of the brightest family holiday within the calendar by participating in the creative writing challenge.

The poem written by Nikola Dimitrov (11.b class) and titled “Christmas magic” won the first place and took a prize, and Jemile Mustfa (11.b class) who had titled her poem “Kisses of the winter” won the third place and another prize from the contest. The works were evaluated by Stanimira Trifanova and Daisy Angovam, whose profiles as judges are announced on the website www.eacademiabg.com.
Congratulations to the winners! We are proud of our talented young poets and we wish them inspiration and success in the future!
Here are the two works:
1st place
Christmas Magic
By Nikola Dimitrov, 11.b class
In winter’s hush – a magic gleam,
In every heart – a festive dream.
Snowflakes dance in midnight air,
Christmas whispers, love to share.
Lights that twinkle, bright and clear,
Chase away all doubt and fear.
Stockings hung with care, delight,
Await the joy that fills the night.
Beneath the tree, wrapped treasures hide,
In paper dreams, love’s knots are tied.
The world aglow, with kindness lit,
A gift, a smile, each moment fit.
Through frosty windows, tales untold,
Of kindness shared and hearts consoled.
In every carol, timeless tune,
A melody that makes hearts swoon.
So let the season’s magic sway,
In acts of kindness, day by day.
For Christmas, in its simple grace,
Its magic shared, a warm embrace.
3rd place
Kisses of the winter
By Jemile Mustafa, 11.b class
When we glimpse the snow falling,
the holiday lights gleaming,
our hearts will feel – once again.
Snowflakes flying – shooting, kissing.
Happiness fruiting – soothing, blissing.
Christmas is around the corner
and we can’t wait any longer.
In this season of cold warmth
our hearts are feeling – once again.
Reindeers flying – enchanting, beaming.
Sleigh bells ringing – celebrating, welcoming.
