On Thursday, December 5, we paid a visit to the bake sale on the second floor of our school, not only to buy some delicious homemade food, but to see what it was all about. There, we were kindly greeted by Nikol Atanasova, one of the organizers and salespeople and her fellow 11th-graders.

We first raised the question of what this entire enterprise was about, as it clearly wasn’t just about delicious cupcakes.
“It’s a charity for a girl (Gabi), our friend, who suffered an accident two weeks ago. We are raising funds for her life-saving operation tomorrow,” said Nikol.
When we asked her about her relation to the girl in question, she explained that they come from the same middle school – “Bratya Miladinovi”.
So, how was their progress so far? Have they collected enough money to help their friend?
“We have collected about 300 levs. We are doing our best but we need much more,” she said.
We wished them good luck on collecting enough money and bought some of their delicious dishes.
Before parting ways, we asked them how others could open up a bake sale of their own, for whatever cause.
“They should definitely ask the principal for approval first,” Nikol said.
And there you have it.
Our interview came to a close. We hope they are able to collect enough money for their noble cause.
