IV poetry and digital art contest “SEA OF LOVE”, praising Love in all its forms and manifestations, nominating 7 poems in Bulgarian, 7 in English, and 7 digital art drawings. Here are the 4 honourable mentions in BG poetry:
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – EN poetry, 3rd place: “The repeating cycle of love and regret”
Though love is what propels us to keep on living,
even in the face of the fear it instils upon us all,
even in the trenches it forces us to go through,
We still choose it every single day to lead us…
to a fate of unknown destruction.
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – EN poetry, 2nd place: “To love a father at all”
Did my adolescence
push away your presence?
I no longer needed
on your shoulders to be held.
My childhood ended –
is that what you had sensed?
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – EN poetry, 1st place: “Butterflies”
Every other guy that I have been with
got me butterflies in my stomach.
But not you.
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – BG poetry, 3rd place: “Desire”
Как искам… да съм аз свещта
и да не гасна в нощите самотни.
Как искам… да съм аз духа,
призван да вижда нещица по-прости.
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – BG poetry, 2nd place: “Sex”
Ако обаче се родят артисти,
от малки ще забравят суетата.
Ще правят секс със бели листи,
а тая честност
ускорява
обичта.
SEA OF LOVE ‘2024 – BG poetry, 1st place: “Poe-try”
Любов – ни един стих.
Болка – хиляди редове.
Останах си сам под онези ледове.
